Torrance Memorial celebrated Jespa’s first year in the US in November 2016.

The well was built in partnership with the University of Notre Dame student chapter of Engineers Without Borders. What started in 2012 as a project to build a $5,000 well for the school, blossomed into a $25,000 well that will benefit the entire community for years to come.

Jespa was burned in a fire in his village in Cameroon when he was 10 months old. At age 16, he started treatment at Torrance Memorial Hospital in California. Click on the link below to learn more.
